On Saturday, Jenny had planned a little birthday get-together for me at a little nearby restaurant. It wasn't a surprise, but I didn't really know who all was going to be there. We had a little room all to ourselves, and Jenny had brought some candles and pretty decorations. The food was great, and Jenny planned a few cute games, including one where I laughed really hard and one where I almost cried because people had to say nice things about me, and some of the ladies filled up with tears as they spoke. Jenny also made her yummy ice cream cake that she always makes, and I swear they gave me the biggest piece ever.

I didn't open my gifts there because we spent our time just talking and stuff like that, but I came home and opened everything...and I had such nice things! I decided to set it all up so I could take a picture to show you. But even better than the gifts was that I came away that night just feeling so loved, and loving all these people (even more than usual) who are basically like family to me.





Two pretty pink makeup bags (one big one with handles and one smaller one), a garfield balloon, a pretty pink-ish Bible cover with handles, yellow and white flowers, a warm vanilla sugar set that came in a little pink bag, a walmart gift card, three candles (one big vanilla one, one pear, and one pumpkin), a bunch of different colored sharpies, and some of my favorite snacks (tostitos hint of lime, skittles, and sour patch kids), and some carmel kisses, which i've never tried before. not pictured are two pretty dishtowels that i got, too, and already put in the laundry to be washed before using)

Tuesday was the actual day of my birthday, and it was basically a regular day except my parents took me out to cracker barrel to eat dinner. I didn't take off work because I have vacation time next week, and sometimes it's more of a challenge trying to rearrange your schedule. It was a pretty good day, though. I can't believe how beautiful the weather has been around here. I think it was the best weather I've ever had on a birthday before.

Tomorrow night is the kids all-nighter...I'm calling it our "fall-nighter" haha. And then the start of my vacation..I can't wait!
